Alphaconnect – Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose of the AUP

This policy ensures responsible, legal and fair use of Alphaconnect's network, including:

• Covered services
  • Wireless services
  • FTTH services
  • VoIP services
  • Any internet access service

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Alphaconnect's services for any:

• 2.1Illegal activity, including but not limited to:
  • Hosting or sharing illegal content
  • Copyright infringement
  • Unlawful streaming or downloads
  • Hacking, phishing or impersonation
  • Child exploitation or abusive content
• 2.2Network abuse:
  • Spamming or bulk unsolicited emailing
  • Network scanning, probing or DDoS attacks
  • Virus or malware distribution
  • Interfering with other subscribers' services
• 2.3Security violations:
  • Bypassing authentication controls
  • Attempting to compromise network systems
  • Using fake RICA information

3. Fair Use

Where applicable, Alphaconnect may enforce:

• Fair use measures
  • Fair usage thresholds
  • Traffic shaping during peak periods
  • Prioritisation of certain services for network stability

4. Resale and Sharing

You may not:

• Restrictions
  • Resell the service
  • Extend the service beyond the installation address
  • Provide public or commercial Wi-Fi with it
  • Connect multiple dwellings to one service

Unless expressly approved in writing.

5. Equipment Use

Customers may not:

• Equipment restrictions
  • Tamper with ONTs, routers or wireless antennas
  • Remove or relocate installed equipment
  • Install repeaters or boosters without permission

6. Security Obligations

You must:

• Your obligations
  • Secure your Wi-Fi network
  • Use strong passwords
  • Prevent unauthorised access to your equipment
  • Notify Alphaconnect of any breach or compromise

7. Enforcement

Alphaconnect may, at its discretion:

• Enforcement actions
  • Suspend or throttle services
  • Block offending traffic
  • Notify legal authorities
  • Terminate accounts for persistent abuse
